KathiC
This thing fell out of a torch we added a couple of weeks ago. It looked like leftover food so we left for a bit then it disappeared. It adheres itself to a rock and is very well attached, not easily removed. The tentacles waving above it are out all the time during the day. Safe or not? Quote Link to comment
This guy is extra salty
Appears to be a anemone does it have a feeding response? Quote Link to comment
KathiC
It appears to be a filter feeder. Our LFS says it is a pineapple sponge. Quote Link to comment
Patrick17
Doesn't look like a pineapple sponge to me, however I'm not expert! I thought pineapple sponges were white? If you search here, there are loads of threads about identifying small white blobs that usually turn out to be a pineapple sponge Quote Link to comment
MainelyReefer
I can confirm it's not the small white pineapple sponges that grown in my rear chambers like weeds. It being a variant of sponge is possible, it is immobile right? How quickly did it take to adhere to rock structure? More description and a secondary photo may help, or someone who knows spot on might get it. Is it soft? Hard? Are those "tentacles" or hollow tubes? Quote Link to comment
