JillianAG
Hello all!! I am looking for advice/recommendations for my mother ? i am giving her my 14g biocube set up - however, I had been running it with no hood and an led fixture above. I don’t have the hood any longer. She now has to obtain a light but she’s on limited funds - she wants to keep zoas and shrooms only. any ideas on super cheap - efficient - even diy - lighting? i keep mixed reef - mostly sps and use full spectrum fully controllable leds - she has no want for any thing like that! Lol any idea that could help get her up and running would be awesome and highly appreciated!! thanks guys - you rock ??? Quote Link to comment
Dougefresh35
Any of those Par 38 bulbs will work fine people that have them seem to be able to grow shrooms and zoas with no problem and you can use just any old light fixture to screw them in too its a win win. You can find them on Amazon there are a few different companies that make them just search par 38 bulb? 1 Quote Link to comment
JillianAG
Very! Awesome! Thank you - I was wondering about those - and had planned on checking them out for my new sump too ?? Quote Link to comment
MainelyReefer
Check out the Asta 20, it's a cheap kessil knock of that would easily grow softies. Or the par bulbs would work but they suck in my opinion 1 Quote Link to comment
Clown79
Par38's are great. Cheap, plugs into any light fixture. 1 Quote Link to comment
