Brian1313
I dont know how many reefers have seen this but Samsung is creating a website for their old S3 and S5s to turn them into fish tank controllers. The idea looks really awesome for newbs like me that an apex seems intimidating and expensive. Anyone else have thoughts on this. I am excited to see what it is all about. https://galaxyupcycling.github.io/ 1 Quote Link to comment
ajmckay
Hmm... Old phones are definitely useful for certain things. I haven't done anything but a quick look but I'm curious how it works. Ideally there would be some sort of apparatus that you could build that would have various sensors and plugs wired up and you then plug it into the charge port on the phone. Honestly it's probably a Bluetooth thing but maybe there's a simpler way to access that now? Hmmm.... Still sounds like a daunting task to "upcycle" a mobile device but a cool idea still.
