I just got a new IM Nuvo Fusion 40 gallon and it came with 2 micron socks, which I've never had before. I'm thinking of putting my GFO in a nylon bag and keeping it inside the micron sock. Is that crazy? It seems like it makes sense to me. What do you think? Quote Link to comment
burtbollinger Posted October 28, 2017 Share Posted October 28, 2017 I'd personally recommend just run it passive....not in the sock. the sock will get dirty and need a weekly cleaning or more frequent, whereas you'll want the passive-run bag of GFO to hang out for 4 weeks or so.
