Is it possible to pair basslets or psuedochromis in a 30 gallon?

I know this is possible in larger systems but I'm curious as to opinions if this would be possible in a tank as small as mine.

I don't know about pseudochromis but you would not want to put basslets together in a tank that size.  The tank needs to be at least 1,000 square inches total per the Liveaquaria website.

I've always wanted a nano species tank for a pair of Dottybacks

You could probably pair a more peaceful species for a non species tank.

I feel like a larger display with a colony of sankeyi would be a super cool to watch. I feel like for a non species tank my best bet would be with orchids, especially since most info on pairing dottys seems to be on them. Specifically I read that someone was able to keep an orchid pair in a 10 gallon.
