seahostler
I'll find out. You should definitely be getting better results, I bet we just need to dial in your values. (beauty of a tank, btw) Quote Link to comment
seahostler
I just got around to adding a few more testers tonight! Thanks for signing up to check it out, guys! Would love your feedback and image posts if you don't mind sharing. Quote Link to comment
GaryR1984
So the settings that started with the app, are those just default or did they try to adjust that way? Quote Link to comment

Right now the app will allow you to manually max out the color temperature to the max the phone can handle. Sometimes, that's not enough enough which is why you can go further with the new color sliders. Signed up to Beta Test this this morning. Hoping it can make pics with my PAR38 much better! 1 Quote Link to comment

Upon startup it's all auto, but the image doesn't have much time to adjust. One of the big items I'm working on is a way to easily toggle between auto/manual, BUT the RGB values will always need to be manual. I also just last night figured out how to reproduce what an orange lens does flat out. So it could be the case in a future version we have a simple and advanced mode you could go into. 1 Quote Link to comment
VaporCountry
Thanks for letting me beta test. From just playing around with it for a little while I found this app very helpful. The thing I like about it the most is you have so much adjustment before taking the picture and the file getting compressed. This makes pictures turn out much better after doing final editing in post. If you could also add a post editor to the app it would be amazing. As it stands I defiantly think its worth the money. Here are a couple pictures taken with an iPhone 6. Apple camera app Aquarium Camera App Aquarium Camera App edited slightly with a 3rd party app Same coral taken with a very expensive DSLR a couple weeks ago 1 Quote Link to comment
SelectedByNature
Looks good. So nothing on Android yet correct? Timeframe? 1 Quote Link to comment

Ok, I opened it two days ago, and it seemed to be spot on, then I started to adjust it, and couldn't get back to how good it was the first time. It looks good. 1 Quote Link to comment

The only other thing that was done was brightness/contrast and they were just adjusted till it looked the most accurate. 1 Quote Link to comment

hinnenkm
I haven't had a chance to sit and take pictures of my tank since downloading the beta version. I now have been able to do so and tried to give an idea of not only with and without the app, but also the settings. I have a Nanobox mini tide over the tank and am using an iphone SE. These were taken this morning and no editing was done to any of them. I am really enjoying playing with the app and for a phone camera, it works well. I'm excited to test it out further this weekend because I work at a fish store, so I will upload some more pics then. Thanks! 2 Quote Link to comment
SeaFurn
Here's a pic of my bowl using the app. It's pretty darn close to what I see with my eye with a little less blue than you see here. Red is set at 3.4 and green and blue are at 1.0. My light is the ABi 12W Tuna Blue. 1 Quote Link to comment

seahostler
Anybody at the Aquatic Experience in Chicago this weekend? Took these at the Kessil booth on the A80's (tuna blues). Before: With Aquarium Camera: 1 Quote Link to comment
seahostler
For anybody testing right now, if you could post the brand/make of your lights that'd be helpful, too. :-D Quote Link to comment
Thrassian Atoll
So it's like photoshop express? Quote Link to comment
seahostler
29 minutes ago, TILTON said: So it's like photoshop express? Yes and no. Yes in that it has the ability to effect histograms shots, but no in that it happens live instead of post-shot, helping you better color correct in real-time and speed up your process. Once you have your values dialed into your tank, all your shots will have that adjustment made. The other benefit is that iPhone photos are compressed when they're taken. This app preprocesses the photo before the sensor writes the pixels. Quote Link to comment

NanoRox
To be completely honest I am not having success with this app (I purchased). none of my shots look like yours. I either have too much blue or it ends up getting over exposed and the and sand bed glows white etc. Please take no offense but I cant see where it is helping anymore than what my standard iPhone camera settings do post shot. Do you have general recommendations for settings? I am using Nanobox mini Tide M lights. Quote Link to comment

Home button and on/off button press and release at the same time takes a screenshot. The next version is going to have a pretty decent auto-mode but yeah let's figure this out for sure! dandelion
This is the best money I’ve spent in this hobby! I tried to adjust the filters until the corals look closest to my naked eye. At the end I realized I got the egg crate to be almost perfectly white! Here are some pictures I took with my iPhone X. 3 Quote Link to comment
Thrassian Atoll
I heard iPhone x takes amazing photos already under blue light. Quote Link to comment
