HELP Identifying Pink Substance New Biocube

Hello Everyone,

 

I have recently setup a biocube for my 5 y/o son. This is our first reef tank as i've always done fresh water back in the day before i got married. Its been running about a month now and water parameters are looking great.

 

I did notice these small pink mushroom like slime/substance growing in the rocks. Just wanted to know what it is and is it good or bad for the tank?

 

Any help would be much appreciated.

Was this live rock? and if it was it looks like you got lucky and got some free mushrooms they must have been some hiden hitchhikers and are perfectly fine.
