Lugmos12
I'm pretty sure I overfed with reef chili this week; just tested nitrates at 10ppm. My water changes is tomorrow. Is it safe to wait? It's a 13.5G fluval. Quote Link to comment
calvin
10ppm is no big deal Quote Link to comment

Thrassian Atoll
10 is fine. Some people prefer 10, growth and color wise, with their corals. All tanks are different though. What do you strive to keep your nitrates and phosphates at? Quote Link to comment

Nitrates under 5 is good and phosphates at .02-.03 is good. Some people prefer high nitrates with low phosphates still. You want some nutrients. Using rscp, you definitely do not want to be at 0 for both as I am guessing your alk is really high. Ultra low nutrients with high alk can cause burnt tips on sps and stn. 2 1 Quote Link to comment
Clown79
0 nutrients isn't optimal and 10ppm is not an issue. 1 1 Quote Link to comment

blasterman
A level of 10 is only a concern if you have a lot of sps accustomed to much lower levels and it spiked. Lps and softies are loving it. 3 Quote Link to comment
erniecloud
What about 25 PPM for 2 weeks of daily testing after cycling period? I'm using Salifert test kit, Quote Link to comment
