OBXReef
Finally I was able to finish reading your thread. The pico looks stunning. I like the idea of using the uplift tube for the air pump. 1 Quote Link to comment
MainelyReefer
Happy 2 year birthday pico! 🔥blastos And my present to myself for the two years is the three Cup reef The three blastos in the picture have been fragged and will be the chosen corals for the three Cup reef... happy 2nd birthday reefbowl! 5 Quote Link to comment
MainelyReefer
Old photos of the beginning for reference, as you will see some corals have adapted better to reefbowl life than others, survival of the fittest! The worst part is it might be the stupid zoas that end up being fittest. I hate eagle eyes and would never add zoas to a reefbowl again. Come back in two more years it will be a bowl of zoas. 2 2 Quote Link to comment
sadie
that is one of the best set ups I have seen for a pico. Usually ppl show a close up and it looks great, but back the camera up and you see ugly wires, top offs on the table, light stands etc, etc. You have the perfect little spot where everything is above it! Where do you get your coral from? 3 Quote Link to comment

Local reefers mostly, my local forum is full of hobbiest reefers selling nice frags from their basement. This past weekend I went to a LFS and everything I saw was twice the price and not as nice, so the next day I went to someone’s basement haha 3 Quote Link to comment
sadie
I go to one over in Laconia, but it's an hour drive for me. I joined a coral swap for NH, but it's always an hour away too. 1 Quote Link to comment

Try bostonreefers.org http://www.bostonreefers.org/forums/index.php lots of great corals sounds like they will be well south of you but they are worth the drive. Also if you are going to Laconia pet center have you ventured to Plymouth pet and aquarium? The guy isn’t very personable but he keeps clean tanks with fair prices and a large fish selection considering it is a mountain town. 1 Quote Link to comment
sadie
No I haven't been to Plymouth. I'll have to check them out. I don't think I would want to drive more then an hour with coral, so Boston is out of the question. Quote Link to comment

My favorite vendor is a sponsor of the forum and is right in Derry NH check out Jsak1976. Quote Link to comment
sadie
The guy that hosts a lot of the NH frag swaps is from Derry, I wonder if it's the same guy. Quote Link to comment

Kentech5
Well that was a fun thread to binge read. Thanks for updating it and bringing it into my feed. I’d be afraid I would drop the bowl if I held it like that. Quote Link to comment
