Clown79
You're over doing it on filter media. I use phosguard in small quantities(because I need it) I use purigen Carbon. I buy my media in the containers and use Nadia bags. This allows me to control the amount I use rather than pre bagged products. If you don't have phos issues the phosguard can strip any phos you do have which is needed. I wouldn't use the biopellets at this point. Keep things simple Quote Link to comment

Clown79
I'd keep the purigen. Quote Link to comment
EvilFish
Thanks How many carbon do I need for 13.5G? Quote Link to comment
burtbollinger
I'd buy some Bulk Reef Supply Rox carbon, put in a filter sock replaced every two weeks...I'd use a little more than half of whatever the recommended dosage per gallon is on the container. if you're removing the biopellets, as you should, please do not ignore the advice above to do so slowly. EvilFish
Thanks So, I left only 2 tablespoon of fluval carbon. Remove all phosguard. Remove 10-15% biopellets. Also I put Candy Cane higher and to more flow area. How fast I need to remove biopellets? 5% daily? 10% weekly? Or how? How good is Salifert Kh test? Easy to read? Can I create a small fuge with Caluerpa or better chaeto? With the lighing at night to stabilize pH? I also see some Fluval PS2 skimmer mod to stabilize pH at night (via CO2 Scrubber). It will work with nano? Quote Link to comment
