JonathanDillio
Hey guys! Just looking for everyone's opinion on what the best test kit for my Reef tank is. I have he Red Sea kit that test for Ammonia, Nitrite, and Nitrate. And I also have the Hanna Monitor for Alkalinity. I know I have to eventually start testing CA and MG (I don't have corals yet) so I am just wondering what everyone recommends. Thanks! Quote Link to comment
Thrassian Atoll
I would grab a Hanna ultra low phosphorus checker. I use Red Sea calcium, magnesium, and low range nitrate. Hanna calcium checker isn't recommended. I also have a Red Sea alk test kit and it test within .1dkh of my Hanna checker. 1 Quote Link to comment
fishfreak0114
I use Salifert for alk, calcium, and magnesium. I like how clear and simple the instructions are. 2 Quote Link to comment
scurvy dawg
I use red sea for Mag and Calc. and use Hanna for phos and Alk. I really like the Hanna Alk (dkh) because you can test your Alk in 30 seconds. 1 Quote Link to comment
Thrassian Atoll
My only gripe with Hanna is they are stingy as hell with their reagents. 1 Quote Link to comment
