I would like to break my live rocks and build from there. question, what is the best way to rebuild it without causing another cycle? Can I use Ace hardware Putty to put the rocks together?, How long can I expose the LR to air? I would love your input. Thanks! Quote Link to comment

Clown79 Posted September 14, 2017 Share Posted September 14, 2017 You won't go through another full cycle unless you let the rocks sit out for hours causing die off or allow them to dry out Remove one rock at a time and break them. Once broken place back in tank and then reaquascape. If you are worried, put sw in a new spray bottle and mist the rocks while working on them. Always test your tank after major work to ensure no spike occurs. I've never used that epoxy so I'm unsure if it's safe. 1 Quote Link to comment
