So I soaked the rocks in a bleach solution and pressure washed them. Then took a wire brush and scrubbed them pretty good. I drilled some holes and put in some fiberglass rods to hold together. I'm gonna epoxy it too when I'm ready. Gonna let them bake in the sun a few days then soak in water with a lot of dechlorinator and rinse again.

So I misjudged the height of the skimmer. I might need to make some adjustments to the stand ? I'll have to see how much of a pain it will be to take the skimmer collection cup off

I like the way you used the rods to hold things together.

Yeah the fiberglass rods are thinner and stronger and cheaper than acrylic

I admire your determination! Is that the highest the water level will run? There might be a few things you can do to try to raise it, like adjusting the herbie down pipes in the back, or restricting the front overflow teeth from behind to raise the level. Do you have a side view of the overflow running with water?

I'll try adjusting the water flow out of the herbie. I might try to rig up something to put in front of the teeth to adjust the water level
