mbarton2010
Not too worried about the height. If it gets to be impossible, then I'll build a new stand with higher dimensions 1 Quote Link to comment

mbarton2010
So I soaked the rocks in a bleach solution and pressure washed them. Then took a wire brush and scrubbed them pretty good. I drilled some holes and put in some fiberglass rods to hold together. I'm gonna epoxy it too when I'm ready. Gonna let them bake in the sun a few days then soak in water with a lot of dechlorinator and rinse again. Going to get the Icecap K2-50 skimmer this week 6 Quote Link to comment

mbarton2010
So I misjudged the height of the skimmer. I might need to make some adjustments to the stand ? I'll have to see how much of a pain it will be to take the skimmer collection cup off 1 Quote Link to comment
mbarton2010
Ordered the Icecap k2-50 skimmer. Quote Link to comment

Christopher Marks
I admire your determination! Is that the highest the water level will run? There might be a few things you can do to try to raise it, like adjusting the herbie down pipes in the back, or restricting the front overflow teeth from behind to raise the level. Do you have a side view of the overflow running with water? 1 Quote Link to comment

I might try to rig up something to put in front of the teeth to adjust the water level Quote Link to comment
mbarton2010
Temporary fix. Put a small piece of plastic (gel filter for cameras lol) I front of the teeth. 2 Quote Link to comment
mbarton2010
Did a WC on my pico and sucked out some stuff from the chambers and dumped it in this tank. Added a bottle of bacteria too Quote Link to comment
Christopher Marks
I bet you could build a permanent or removable acrylic extension for your overflow box to raise the water height. You could design it to block the lower inlet when installed. 1 Quote Link to comment
