Friendly
don't hear much discussion about their use here...perhaps that's due to them mostly being high capacity heaters? anyone using them or have used them? thoughts? Quote Link to comment
Thrassian Atoll
I had one in my biocube a while back. Loved it. Was very accurate. Never had an issue with it. I don't even remember the brand. It had a separate temp sensor that I could put in a different chamber. Decided to buy the finnex 100 watt digital titanium heater for my new tank. Thing is garbage. It's off by like 6 degrees. I only use it to heat mixed water in a bucket. Quote Link to comment
Clown79
Never used one, too expensive. I've read alot of negatives on the finnex, particularly the same issue as Tilton has. Quote Link to comment
Friendly
well, fortunate for Til, it was a fixed variance that could be compensated for...not an unstable thermostat. 1 Quote Link to comment
Muraki
Stay away from "ViaAqua" I own 2 myself, and a friend owns 2. They are all off and you can't compensate because it resets when there is a power outage. They all run 3-8 F hotter then what it states. Quote Link to comment
