ps2cho
For fun I set up a 2g cookie jar. Is there any options for flow outside of an air pump? I just want to keep noise down to a minimum and the air bubbles are really loud. Would adding an air stone work better to keep noise down? What are you guys using? Quote Link to comment
Friendly
well, if you have a lid on it, air bubbles would likely be muffled. I'm starting up a 2.5 gallon in a bit with a long term plan to create a 5 gallon bucket sump for it to make for easier water changes and balance my variables as I want to keep a crab in it. if you go into the DIY section, you'll see the 5 gal bucket sump project. it's engenius! anyhow, if you were to engage a bucket sump...be it 5 gal or smaller, you would use a submersible water pump, which would definitely be muffled. just have to find one that can operate at the low flow volume required and has enough head.
