If that is the back you will want to remove the rock.  It traps all sorts of detritus which will lead to nutrient issues down the line.

As far as the back goes floss in the overflow chamber , cheato in the middle with a light on the back, nad your heater / return in the last.

Can also put your Carbon etc in the first chamber below your floss as well.

Welcome to nanoreef! As far as the back chamber goes, have you looked into a media backer? I highly recommend this as you can run filter flash, purigen and Chemi pure elite

In the back chamber

Use a media basket, even diy eggcrate ones work well.

The overflow chamber is where the media basket goes. Floss, carbon, phos media, purigen goes in here.

Second chamber. Using rocks in the back chamber really puts can cause issues with keeping it clean. Cheato needs a light.

Heater- should only ever go with the return pump if you have an aio (it's actually not recommended to have the heater with the pump in the same chamber)

If you don't have an aio- having the heater in the return chamber can be a serious issue as the water level drops, exposing the heater which can cause it to shatter or malfunction.
