Luna81
Hello all! I have the 13 gallon fluval sea nuvo. Have a firefish and a yellow goby. I also have five sexy shrimp and a pom pom crab. The pom didn't have his anemones when I bought him months ago. Tonight he has one. I'm thinking possible aiptasia? If it ends up being that and being a problem, do you thinking adding a peppermint shrimp to this tank would be ok? Just one or? Quote Link to comment
BustytheSnowMaam
The peps and sexies should all be fine together. Wild-caught (not tank-raised) peps work best IME for aiptasia removal. The conflict I could see is when the pep tries to take the aiptasia from the pom-pom, shedding little bits of aiptasia which will grow into more aiptasia. A little Typhoid Mary, spreading pestilence all around your tank The pom-pom is more secure and happy if he can instinctively be a pom-pom and keep his little aiptasia friends. I'd keep nutrients down to discourage the aiptasia from spreading and leave them. Quote Link to comment
Luna81
Thanks. I'm going to keep an eye on it for now just was hoping I could add a peppermint if it came to that. Quote Link to comment
