When you get tired of the coral you have now, you know where to send them ... 🙋‍♂️

@seabass I need your input.

should I leave the cardinals in my sump or move them to their own tank ? Right now they occupy what is meant to be the skimmer chamber but there is nothing to prevent them from traveling about in the rest of the sump. Others have advised me to leave them be as to prevent adding stress to them but they have zero experience with fry sooo…… . My thought was to move them to my 3gal with rock / water from the 65. What say you ?

I've also heard that moving tanks can be very stressful to them.  If it's safe for them to be in your sump, I might just keep them there.

That said, I moved two from an overflow box into another tank without any apparent problems.  I didn't use a net, just scooped them up in a cup.

I believe the problem I had, was that the biofilter I had setup for my 20 gallon nursery eventually got overwhelmed (larger fish, more live brine shrimp, dead shrimp, and other food I was trying to transition them to).

IDK, 3 gallons seems a little small to me.  Flow might even become a problem for the little guys.  Can you do a 10 gallon tank, or maybe even a 5.5?

Quick cell pic from today. Tank temp has been getting crazy high 82+ so not everyone is happy. Need to come up with a plan to cool things down a bit.

Ooh... I really like it.  Excellent.  I guess I haven't gone back to see the progression of this tank yet.

Any update on the cardinalfish front?

I started with three of them but I am down to only 2 now. They have grown tremendously and have started taking tiny bit of mysis. I still feed them the decapsulated brine eggs and they seem to go after oyster fest as well so I will keep it up as long as they are eating. It's hard to get pics as they have taken up residency behind my return pump.

I'm glad the two of them are doing well.  Maybe you'll end up with a bonded pair.

Mine are getting crazy big... and often, just plain crazy.  I figure I'll have to find a home for them in a couple of months, before they mature.
