lonewonderer
Hello, Need advice here. I just target fed my duncan corals as we speak but the fire shrimp went nuts and tried to steal the mysis from the duncans mouth. after a few seconds, I saw maybe 10 pieces of small polyps/tentacles floating in the water. The fire shrimp went haywire and cut the thing just to get the food. Will the duncan be alright? any advice for him not to do that again?? thanks, Quote Link to comment
ry05coupe
Duncan will most likely be fine. Try feeding the Fire Shrimp before the Duncan to hopefully fill him up and keep him distracted. Giving them a big piece of shrimp usually helps keep them busy for a while. You may need to stand guard the next time you feed your Duncan too. 2 Quote Link to comment

Clown79
Pretty common for shrimps to steal food. I guess if they are very aggressive at their thieving they can do damage I try to feed my shrimp first, use a bottle over the coral to prevent the theft, or i sit by and deter the shrimp from harassing the corals 1 Quote Link to comment
