Dont remember exactly what brand of sand but its about 30 lbs of aragonite.

I read the first page and the last two pages.  Your tank is gorgeous.  Interesting refugium.  It gladens my heart to see so many high nutrient display tanks.   I read one reference to tying a 29G and a 40G into one sump.  Is the 29G acting as a display macro refugium.

Yes my 29g fuge is tied into the main display using a canister filter. I drilled the 29g and have it slightly higher so that it drains into the 40 by gravity.

Thanks! Im still pretty sad about the jawfish but i’ll get over it. Poor fella. Still dont know what hapened to him.

I never get tired of seeing picturees of that fish since longnosed hawks are one of my favorites.
