Damon Omar
Hi I have noticed that I have a piece of coral that looks it is either dying or being eaten. I can't tell which is happening. Quote Link to comment
Weetabix7
Give us more info, which coral do you mean? The GSP? How long has your tank been set up? What inverts do you have in there? Quote Link to comment
samnaz
GSP retracts like that at night when there is no light. Perhaps they aren't getting enough light? Hard to tell from the picture. What light are you using? What do you suspect is eating it? Stock list? Quote Link to comment
Damon Omar
I just upgraded my lights yesterday. This started about a week or so ago. I had the stock lights with a 14g biobcube. I now have LED lights. 2 CREE XP-G2 NEUTRAL WHITE LED 2 SCREE XP-G2 WARM WHITE LED 4 CREE XT-E ROYAL BLUE LED 2 SEMILEDS VIOLET UV LED (410-420NM) 1 CREE XP-E2 BLUE LED 1 LUXEON PHILIPS REBEL ES CYAN LED Stock list: Two clownfish a pistol shrimp 4 hermit crabs 7 snails My tank has been set up for a four months. The GSP was growing like crazy up until a couple weeks ago. Quote Link to comment
Clown79
What are your parameters for everything including alk and ca. I would definitely slowly acclimate the new light Quote Link to comment
Damon Omar
What would you recommend for light settings? Quote Link to comment
Clown79
What fixture? I'd start at 35% with 3-5% weekly increase. The percentages of machine will depend on what you like. I prefer more blue so mine started at 35% b, rb, uv 15% whites 10% reds Quote Link to comment
