After cleaning the old office I found ~25-30 old Mini bodies. I wanted to find a use for these and figured why not make them into nicely package huge/planted/grow lights!

Specs :

Planted/Traditional Fuge Array - Neutral White, Warm white, violet and lime - OR - Royal Blue, red and violet ( Lux T, SEMILED, Rebel )

12v Power Supply

Small 5" x 3" x 1.25" Body

Simple on/off no dimming

Passive Cooling

$100

Add gooseneck mount $25.

I am drilling two holes on the top for people with creative hanging ideas.

Please post here if interested or PM.

Thanks guys!

Oh dang, SO wish it were possible for me to get this right now.

LED lighting is the only type of lighting I don't have over the Experimental Macro tank I just started.

One of these days I'll talk to you about getting something like this when the wallet allows.

Love all of the cool ideas you come up with and the quality and innovation you've brought to LED lighting.

So,is this still a possible thing or did you not go on with this idea ?

I ordered one and im sure you still can. Its a quality fuge/planted light. Looks great. I went with a duo but could have easily went with a tide version

You would be fine with a Tide/single beam. However, without dimming you might be Too bright on that shallow of a tank.

I figure hang it high and go from there. If things pale out and die then I go from there lol.

More than enough. I am making them to order.

One single BEAM can light 12" cube just fine. 18" is pushing but it will be lit.

This is awesome Dave. The planted tank idea is something I'm interested in.

Do you have presets you'd recommend using for a planted tank using the mini tide?

If running a Mini Tide I would run the royals a 1-5%, whites ~ 80%, violet 20% and blue/cyan to your liking.
