Would the Kessil A80 be a good light for a Fluval Evo 13.5?

for softies and some lps it might work out...

it has a good spread, but the wattage is really less. so no sps definitely, 13.5 might be bit too big for it as well. i use it for 3G pico

What would be a better light only looking to spend $150

orbit marine...from current usa. I have heard good things about it, not used it. I would suggest a160 if you were not budget constrained,,,

take some other folks opinion on a80, who have similar tank , i night be being too strict about it

If theres a budget stick to the stock light until you can upgrade to a very good light.

 

The stock light is good for softies and lps. So paying for a light that will work for only those is not upgrading or beneficial

I would get something else. For a little bit more you could get AI Prime. Or get one of those Chinese Boxes, those works just as well.

I have the 32" sbreef on my 40. Thought the 16" may be to much which would you suggest. Not looking to sink much into this tank. Just want to have actual coral growth, not just keeping it alive.
