Tamberav
Took some pics for an update to see how things are coming along. One coral bleached during the dino and the fox flame sort of browned out as well as some other frags on the racks and the cliffs acro. A few got some dead tissue where the dino was touching it. Yet others didn't really have any reaction. Alk consumption has increased a lot since the dino got beat back so I will take that as a good sign. Can't capture the colors on this one right but its like yellow/pink/lavender or such. Unknown monti I got for $10 is coloring up nice. I continue to be a pretty okay grower of oregon tort and not much else lol This pink lemonade finally starting to show some new colors.. shaded parts are green, top is yellow, now has some pink tips and the edges of it grow blue... hope it continues to color up. I love this monti, I see orange ones a lot but got this pink one at the LFS as an 'unknown sps'. I thought it was bleached but it remains pink! A girl loves pink 🙂 Red mili starting to get some nub's. I cranked up the whites and took some top downs... the coralline is thriving and it won't be long until the entire bottom is covered. The little bleached mili seems to slowly be regaining its color.... and remember that brown monti? Nice red now with pink poyps. I am pretty sure it somehow grows slower than my blue tort though lol 6 1 Quote Link to comment
MrObscura
The first monti looks like reef raft nauti spiral(or similar morph of palawanensis ) and the 2nd looks like setosa, which I've seen colored up pink. 1 Quote Link to comment

Thanks I saw a pic of the RR Monti yesterday and figured thats what mine looked like and then instantly forgot the name lol Quote Link to comment
YHSublime
The pink monti is a red Setosa. I had to remove mine out of the 22 because it was growing too fast. Just be careful with your placement! Things are looking good! 1 Quote Link to comment

I put most of the faster growers on one island and acros on another. Quote Link to comment

It's doing a lot better than I thought it would when I started this adventure. Actually it makes me think about upgrading to a larger tank for more room for corals but that is also scary as I don't want to lose anything. Quote Link to comment
Tamberav
Was late for my water change as I was sick but finally got it done. There was a huge file of poop under the back rock... eww I took the rock out of the water and sucked it out, ofc did some accidental fragging in the process because I am clumsy and I shouldn't be allowed to have SPS. Everything looks kind of mad on the one side since I snapped the pic after taking that rock out of the water. I am sad I accidently fragged my acro because it was just starting to shoot up from its encrusting are and I fragged those nubs off.... Just realized my two photos line up almost perfectly... that was lucky. I still struggle with nitrates with my last one reading 0 😞 I ordered some stuff to dose and amazon lost... lost the one package I kind of wanted ASAP! I suppose I could leave the fish poop but I just can't leave that gross fish poop! 2 Quote Link to comment
Clown79
Tank looks great. You could upgrade and lose nothing. I was worried about it when I did it but turned out to be a smooth transition besides ugly diatoms. 1 Quote Link to comment

I may just set up ANOTHER tank because I have a disease. Quote Link to comment

I'd love a bta and rfa tank. 1 Quote Link to comment

Tamberav
Doing my late night water change, I only do them every 2 weeks right now, tank seems to be happier when I leave it alone. Just riding the SPS roller-coaster. Nutrients coming up which is good, some stuff lost color and others gained color. Can't seem to keep everyone happy but I am happy with how the tank is progressing. Any day without dino is a good day 😄 2 1 Quote Link to comment
