Maybe there was an epic hermit crab smack down and you missed it!

@Lula_Mae I think so. Today I spotted one of the scarlet hermit crabs bullying a trochus snail :haha:

Two hermits enter, one hermit leaves!

Always super exciting to set up your first reef. I had a similar setup for my first. Nice little frags you picked up, it's the best when you see coral growth for the first time. So cool.

Thanks! I've been trying to find cheap frags to experiment with. My LFS has really nice corals but they are $$$ :haha:

Bahaha I know what you mean! I live in Northern Canada and my local lfs sells just a snail for like $4.99.

I'm planning on doing a small coral haul this weekend so I'll let you know how the lighting on this baby works out for those.

I go online coral websites and add a bunch of stuff to the cart and then I look at the total :(:furious:

Lol I know it can be depressing how expensive this hobby can be especially starting out but by buying a little at a time it will keep your interest in the tank and you will always have something to post about!

Alright found a local reefer and did a coral haul. I need help identifying some of these. There a rock with about 10 red mushrooms, a kenya tree on a plate with a mushroom head, a brain coral, a SPS (just to experiment) frag, and another coral who's name I forgot :haha:. Also I added a picture of one of my snails who keeps falling on his a**.

My guess is favia/favites on that last one. The one before that I think is a hairy mushroom.
