Long story short, I ended up using seachem stability on day 30ish to push the cycle through the nitrite phase, also did about 5 %10 water changes once I started that. I was hoping for a faster cycle, given I had some purchases on hold (my todds torch), no such luck in my case. Luckily the guy held it 6 weeks for me. Quote Link to comment

Not sure if you're looking to add anything else but as far as the ato goes this might be a nice addition to hide it in, maybe the heater as well.
