Turns out my T5HO bulbs are well over two years old; so I replaced the T5HO bulbs today with the following:

  • Giesemann Powerchrome Actinic Blue
  • Giesemann Powerchrome Actinic Blue
  • Giesemann Powerchrome Aquablue Coral
  • ATI Aquablue Special

I purchased the Giesemann bulbs when Drs. Foster & Smith went out of business.

Those RFA's look nice.  I try to get mine to lay flat but he likes to hunch half on the sand and half on the rockwork, its annoying to say the least!

It's currently 8.3 (per Salifert).  I didn't test pH when alkalinity was higher than 16 dKH, but that might have been interesting.  My new batches of Reef Crystals are mixing to around 11 dKH, so that's my current target.
