moosubi
Had something popping in and out (closes up when anything gets close) on this goni frag, and then I noticed my nice zoa's not opening up on one side... Any idea what these could be? Thanks! Quote Link to comment
Clown79
Possibly vermetid snail or hydroid. Hard to see in the pic Quote Link to comment
moosubi
They sort of look like mini feather dusters. They seem to be decimating my zoas today... Quote Link to comment
smeagol108
I would guess a barnacle if its popping in an out quick with a fan like motion almost. Quote Link to comment
Clown79
Look up hydroids. Feather duster won't kill anything but hydroids can Quote Link to comment
moosubi
I checked out hydroids for a bit, the polyp structure seems different. What's in my tank seems to have that very distinct 8-10 polyp structure (need to try and get an actual count tmw). They seem to be multiplying fast though, two on the Goni and now two on my zoas... thinking about just taking those frags out for a bit. Quote Link to comment
Clown79
There are various hydroids out there. A feather duster wouldn't do damage. 1 Quote Link to comment

moosubi
They seem to snap shut real fast when anything gets close to them Quote Link to comment
