Need help with ID

Had something popping in and out (closes up when anything gets close) on this goni frag, and then I noticed my nice zoa's not opening up on one side...  Any idea what these could be?

Possibly vermetid snail or hydroid.

They sort of look like mini feather dusters.  They seem to be decimating my zoas today...

I would guess a barnacle if its popping in an out quick with a fan like motion almost.

Look up hydroids.

 

Feather duster won't kill anything but hydroids can

I checked out hydroids for a bit, the polyp structure seems different. What's in my tank seems to have that very distinct 8-10 polyp structure (need to try and get an actual count tmw). They seem to be multiplying fast though, two on the Goni and now two on my zoas...  thinking about just taking those frags out for a bit.

There are various hydroids out there.

 

A feather duster wouldn't do damage.

Pull them and dip them and see what falls off lol.
