knc882007 Posted May 21, 2017 Share Posted May 21, 2017 Help! My tank is being over run by Brown algae For pics I have seen it looks like Diatoms. I added some Cerith Snails but they seem to be more interested in each other than cleaning the tank. I am about ready to take them back and trade them out for snails that will do their jobs. Weetabix7 Posted May 21, 2017 Share Posted May 21, 2017 If it's diatoms just let it be and it'll die out on it's own before terribly long. If you don't have any corals in there you can shorten the light cycle significantly to cut back on diatom growth in the meantime. Quote Link to comment
