Hello ! ;)

Starting a new system today with the RedSea Reefer 250.

I really liked my Shallow 30x30x12 but small things that I wanted to fix and couldn't pushed me to breakdown the tank and start all over and make it exactly how I want this time.

At this moment tank is cycling 7 days and waiting for the new light to arrive in about 2-3 weeks from Dave.

Current view July 2017:

Mr. Lovestrong

that is a particularly nice looking setup. do the redsea units already have the sump plumbed? or is that your handi-work? looks great.

Thanks. The red one is mine, because by default they don't have a refugium. But they're sold with all the needed plumbing. It is very nice and clean I've decided not to change it. Just added what I need. ;)

Amazing! Would love some additional info on the fuge! (Stand, plumbing, etc...) Brilliant.

Thanks! I didn't make anything crazy. Stand and tank plumbing is from the Reefer 250 by default. I've just drilled that small tank ( click here ) and build a small stand for it on the right from the sump, then connected it to the sump with two 1" RED SCHEDULE 40 PIPE and attached a Kessil H380 Halo II over it. ;)

Ohhhh my, that's definitely an elegant way of bringing a refugium into the 250!

Thanks, what is cool it is removing no3 very quick at this moment. Wondering if it will work the same when the tank is at full speed. :)

What if you point the fuge incoming flow at the chaeto in such a way that makes yourself a chaeto-ball?
