I want to congratulate you for hanging in there through the tough times. I believe your adorable kids have learned patience and the responsibility of caring for the livestock. Very valuable lessons for children. Great job. I wish you continued success with your tank. I hope you keep the journal updated when you can.

Well said, and I completely agree. 

 

The pics I have enjoyed the most throughout this have been the ones with your boys in it, I love seeing that interest and sense of wonder.

Sooo.... Oddly enough my lid is ripped and dips in the tank. Over time algae grew on it. Now every 2 weeks I take the algae off and let it regrow. It's kinda like a algae scrubber in a way. I normally take the lid off for photos but I was lazy.

Side note I don't get any algae in the tank.
