Simulated Fish
Hey guys I have rock in the mail from John that will be going into my biocube 8g with Dave's nanobox retrofit. I really don't want to the normal scape of stacked rocks this time. I am planning on doing a horseshoe shaped but having it spiral upward, like a spiral staircase. This thin is I don't want to have it supported, i want it to be like a large overhang. So I plan on drilling and using rods, but I worry about breaking the rock in two since they will be small pieces already. Any tips? What do you use to secure unstable structures? money88
Epoxy and acrylic rods are usually what a lot of people use for smaller aquascaping tasks. If you plan to support heavy rock then the acrylic rods most likely wont cut it Quote Link to comment
moosubi
I don't have any severe overhangs, so I didn't need the rod, but I rolled epoxy and superglued the epoxy contact points, seems to be holding well. 1 Quote Link to comment
CronicReefer
http://www.marcorocks.com/aquascape-supplies/e-marco-400/ This stuff is amazing, it's basically just concrete. I used it in my tank to hold all the structures together. No rods or drilling required. Quote Link to comment
Clown79
I place my supporting rock on a piece of eggcrate, then epoxy the rest together Quote Link to comment
