DSFIRSTSLTWATER Posted December 7, 2018 Share Posted December 7, 2018 Thanks :-) I always feel weird posting random things on your build thread...So I have the tidal 55 hob and since I'm getting more hair algae than I like, I'm wondering if the seachem matrix is adding nutrients to the system. I've had it for 3 months now and I try and clean the shit off the bag but maybe its actually inside where the matrix is. Think I should just take it out? It seems fishy that this algae issue has only been for the last couple months and I do water changes all the time and clean shit. Thats really the only variable that I don't do much with. I'm gonna take it out...i'm guessing the matrix isn't really something I need, i'll just run the floss and the chemipure. How long do you think it'll take to notice if it is indeed the problem?
