Hmmm ? lol. Newb mistake. Don't water test on the stand if you can fit it in a shower If you have a water change siphon (http://www.marinedepot.com/Aqueon_Siphon_Vacuum_Gravel_Cleaner_Gravel_Cleaner-Aqueon-XO06226-FIMTGS-vi.html?gclid=Cj0KEQjwuZvIBRD-8Z6B2M2Sy68BEiQAtjYS3GOvJhpudlfI04SsziYv-AC1nF-RYMXgcXgwp7N4ICUaArbw8P8HAQ) you use that to get the bulk out until you can move it and dump the rest. If you don't: 1. you should get one you can change your water and clean your sand 2. guess its time to break out a bucket! Quote Link to comment

Coral_chef
Should I be adding freshwater to my bucket cycle?? 1 Quote Link to comment
Simulated Fish
10 minutes ago, Coral_chef said: Should I be adding freshwater to my bucket cycle?? To top off the evaporated water? Yes use rodi not saltwater, salt doesn't evaporate out. And you don't want to use tap cause the metals and chemicals can bond to the rock, poisoning your tank once you move it to the display. Coral_chef
@Hippieheadshot should I also do a 100% water change when I do transfer the rocks to the tank? Quote Link to comment

Yeah, that water will be nasty once you cure it, the bacteria will be fine as it will be in the rock very little is in the water column. When you fill the tank after placing your rock use 100% new mixed saltwater. Also just in case rock first, then sand, then water. Want to make sure you scape doesn't shift when the sand settles. 2 Quote Link to comment

You just don't want any dead zones and you want to keep in mind where you'll put coral because you don't want to directly blast them. 1 Quote Link to comment
