2 week tank, whats this red thing?

Hello, 

 

I've a thread in the journal forum about the development of this tank, noticed this red blob after a few days and its been steadily growing tentacles! 

 

Have done a bit of looking about, but cant see to find a definitive answer, any input would be greatly appreciated.

Vermetid snail I believe.

Quarantine the tank, seal up the room and call 911!!!  It may have come from outer space and is here to absorb us all. HAHAH
