My 22-gallon AIO reef rock wall tank

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone, hope all's well. In August 2015, we moved from the capital to one of the nearby provinces. Since it was a smaller house, I had to give up almost all of my pets and break my 8-gallon tank down. My friend got the tank (still running but looks very different; I'll get some pics soon). When we got settled, I thought about getting a new tank. At first I thought of getting my old tank back but my friend suggested to get a bigger one. We went with a 22-gallon AIO tank. I chose to have a rock wall built. It got officially wet on August 19, 2016. Here are some progression pics and a latest video. I'm still using my same old phone to take pics and videos (ugh). Some pics were edited using the Photo Editor app's Auto Tone option. Thanks in advance for looking. :)

Tank: 22-gallon AIO
Lighting: Ocean Revive Arctic T247
Water movement: return pump and Jebao RW-4
Filtration: mechanical filter pads and Chaetomorpha (with its own light)
Skimmer: Resun SK-300

Thermometer/hydrometer
Feeding: Hikari Marine S and Seaweed Extreme and Ocean Nutrition Formula 2 daily and liquid coral food weekly
Fishes: Two clownfish, 1 purple firefish, 2 yellow tail blue damsels, 1 coral beauty, 1 sixline wrasse
Corals: SPS, LPS, zoanthids, palys, shrooms, toadstool, xenia, acans, plate
1 maxima clam
CUC: trochus and nassarius snails, 1 saron shrimp, 1 small hermit crab
Maintenance: Weekly gravel vacuuming for detritus removal and water changes using Reef Crystals and RO water, adding Seachem's Fusion 1 and 2 every other day, washing filter sponges, cleaning glass, manual topoff, daily turning of the chaeto

I used to use GAC/carbon and Purigen but some sps paled and I lost some to STN/RTN. So for now the tank is running on just water changes and the chaeto. I know at some point I will bring the chemical media back. The tank just turned 7 months old.

My future plans include fragging the torch in the middle and the frogspawn, getting a small yellow coris wrasse and saving up for a better skimmer that can fit in the back chamber.
