I hate when that happens and there's just no apparent explanation. But at least it was only the one coral.

Absolutely. I definitely had my butt clenched for a while after it RTNd.

Any nutrient swings? My tank felt bullet proof til my nutrients bottomed out. It’s much more sensitive now. I also have a theory that corals get slowly weakened over time and then RTN is triggered by a stressor that wouldn’t normally cause it. But that is totally unproven ?

That sounds like a reasonable theory.

To my knowledge, there hasn't been any huge nutrient swings. I feed quite heavily every morning (5ml yeast, 4ml Acropower, 4ml Reef Energy A, 4ml Reef Energy B, 2 Scoops Reef Chili, and 1 Cube Mysis/Calanus daily.

Wowza. Glad I found this one.

Moving along super fast, you've got a lot of nice SPS jammed into a little box, lol! I'm following along, want to see all those sticks grow out!

Thanks! Glad to have you along for the ride!

I'm getting outstanding growth on some of my sticks. Here's the growth I've documented for the past 6 days (from this past Saturday to today)

Nice! All that in just a few days.

You're doing something right

I'm chalking it up to a stable, mature tank.

I'm also feeding the coral a ton daily too which probably doesn't hurt: 4ml Acropower, 4ml Reef Energy A, 4ml Reef Energy B, 2 Scoops Reef Chili, 5ml Cultured Yeast

How are the frags doing under the Duo?

The frags under the duo were doing well! I ended up moving a lot of my acropora frags up to the display tank or selling them off.

I still need to order that replacement array from you lol...

I picked up a new piece from the LFS this weekend. It's a maricultured millepora and is on fire! It is a brilliant yellow, orange, and green.

Fluconazole also took care of this previously bryopsis covered zoa colony!

Haha I literally cannot catch a break with this tank's equipment. My light pooped out in a weird way and I am sending it to Dave to fix tomorrow/Tuesday. Good thing I have an extra 4 bulb ATI powermodule laying around to use temporarily.

Moral of the story, always have backup equipment......

My panda goby finally got big enough that he wouldn't slip through the overflow slots! Moved him into the display tank.

And finally but not least, the JF homewrecker is pushing out branches.
