gee
22nd of April 2017 FTS So i am back again to reek, my old tank is in the basement and i wanted a small one in the living room. Fluval Edge 6g with 10lbs of white sand, about 6lbs of live rock led light is BeamsWork 300 on top of the tank, will upgrade the stock lights to led also. Started the fishless cycle today, waiting for the raw fish meet to decay ! Link to comment

gee
So i wanted more punch out of my coral. i made a simple 4x 1w blue cree led retrofit into the existing fluval edge light bar. 2 leds in series and then 2 of those series in parallel with 15ohm resistor on each series. Artic silver onto a flat aluminium bar i had and held with kapton tape, not the best looking but since it's under the cover we dont see it. They are cool to the touch after 30 minutes of running time, i am happy. Link to comment

That's really impressive, sounds like you got a good one!!! Do you feed it at all? I know they do much better long term if fed, something like Goniopower, Reef Roids or Reef Chili. I used to have a big, healthy pink one that my Skunk Clown hosted in, loved that thing. Link to comment
