Canadianeh
Is it possible and a good idea to use Ecotech glue to glue a 2lbs live rock on the black back wall in AIO tank with the water in it? Will it hold? Link to comment
seabass
I'm not sure. I used silicone to adhere a rock on the back of a glass wall. It held up pretty well. That said, I don't think it would work on an acrylic wall. Link to comment
Canadianeh
I am planning to use ecotech glue to glue strong magnet on the live rock. That way I can remove the rock easily if I want to. Good idea? Link to comment
evilc66
Depends on the magnet. N54 neodymium magnets are powerful, but in tension. They aren't as strong in shear. You may need more than one to make it reliable, depending on the size. I'm sure you have thought of this already, but you need to make sure that the magnets are coated to prevent rusting. I don't know if I would spend/waste the money on overpriced superglue. A 5-minute epoxy will be stronger and hold up better over time. It's also cheaper. Link to comment
machonachos
Yeah just put a coat of epoxy and completely cover the magnet Link to comment
