June 12, 2017 Update;

Do I win a prize for the longest pre tank build thread ever or what? It's borderline embarrassing. :lol: Fingers crossed the tank should be done today or tomorrow, the final touches are currently being added. omgomgomg

In other news my beloved Trachyphyllia somehow got blown into my Acans, let's just say it's Acans 1 : Trachy 0 - it should survive but it was smashed on the one side. The rock is pretty much cycle now though, so that's good news.

More soon! (I hope).

My build thread was over 2 years before I got my tank wet! You are doing just fine. Stay focused on the end result and don't rush it. It's going to be worth the wait for all of us I am sure.

June 22, 2017 Update - The Journey Begins;

The new display has arrived! The 12mm starphire glass is even sexier than I envisioned and everything turned out as I had hoped, all the delays and issues were worth it in the end. Let the fun begin! omgomgomg

Glad to see you're back ! Really loved your first tank, looking forward to see the new build.

I am building a 12G Nano long myself at the moment, I will start a thread soon I think.

I'm sure it will be softies only, he doesn't have enough experience yet for SPS. :D

LOL...

Well, some talented SPS keepers also set up softie tanks for the relative ease of maintenance and especially for the flowing movement they provide.

Now that setup looks the bee's knees :)

SPS theme, mixed reef, softies?

Thanks Nano, it will likely be an SPS theme but I'll have some LPS thrown in. :)

Transfer Day;

Transfer day(s) went pretty smoothly, I had the tank running for a couple of days while completing some last minute plumbing. But all the fish and corals seem happy.

Water and Final Scape;

Excuse the less than ideal images, it's almost lights out time here and the tank is not totally clear yet but I wanted to share where I am at the moment. I created the second rock for the scape to try balance out the tank - I think it works pretty well. I'll be selling the gorgonians but some long time coral and fish friends have made the trip over and are enjoying all the extra space. :)
