Canadianeh
What do you guys do to "clean" water containers/jugs that you use to keep RODI water and ATO? Link to comment
BulkRate
Monthly - (salt mixing containers) - soak for a few hours with a 1/4 cup vinegar solution, (Top-off/RODI jugs) - soak with a 3tsp. household plain bleach solution for an hour, followed by a rinse with water + Prime/Alpha. Clown79
i just use a water vinegar mix, let soak, wipe, rinse, dry. Link to comment
holy carp
For RODI (no salt) containers, I just occasionally rinse them out with hot tap water, wipe them dry, let them sit dry for a bit, and then reuse them. They seem to go for many months and stay clean as long as they are covered/closed. While not an airtight seal, I do keep a cover on all my RODI and topoff containers. Link to comment
Asureef
I have a few 5g jugs that I use to hold fresh water and I've never cleaned them. I mix my salt in a 5g bucket for water changes, I just throw them out when they get too dirty (calcium build up). Link to comment
jbrfish
I don't clean them I should start? Link to comment
gmanreefer
I dont clean mine ever. I tested the tds coming out of the 5g tote and was still 0 tds so I suspect theres mp issue ( even though they do have a bit of a moldy smell) Link to comment
Clown79
Its not for tds but bacteria can build as well as mold. Cleaning them with vinegar and letting them dry is enough Link to comment
fishfreak0114
I don't clean anything. Top of water is just in a 4l jug, and salt buckets I rinse after using but that's it Link to comment
