Wingsong
I bought a Mille colony from my LFS and went to dip it when suddenly this critter starts scurrying around on it... I managed to get the crab off the coral into bag water but it did get in the dip initially. It is a small crab, black claw tips, has sort of a fuzzy look, tan/sandy looking. Attached pics of him, 1 with flash that is the crab's color and another with no flash but the tank's blues showing the black claw tip... sorry they aren't very good. He is sitting in a 1/2 gallon glass cup I use for water changes (side markings for scale?). Should I put him in the tank or keep him out? Link to comment
hedgeclipper2
Looks like Gorilla Crab, not reef-safe. Link to comment
RayWhisperer
Blue eyes? If so, it's commonly called a teddy bear acro crab. That particular type of acro crab is NOT beneficial to acros. They eat the polyps of acropora corals. Link to comment
