uwharrie Posted February 12, 2017 Share Posted February 12, 2017 So I am still battling GHA running GFO ( lower dosage right now) low stocked ( three fish) weekly 5 gal water changes) Tested today an my Phosphate is 0.06 ( Hanna checker) The GHA is better but still there. should I increase the amount of granules in the reactor? If they are low (<5 ppm), I would say just keep cleaning the stuff up and you eventually should gain the upper hand. Algae all need both nitrate and phosphate to be prolific. Just measuring one may only give you part of the picture you need to get the upper hand. Good Luck! Link to comment
