russ722
I currently have a stand for my fusion 10 made out of 2x2 and paneling but wanna redo using just plywood but downtown wanna invest in a pocket hole jig. I was planning on getting and the parts cut at home depot,so what are my options around pocket hole jig. Link to comment
evilc66
Why do you want to change it? Plywood doesn't hold up well when you screw into the end grain. It likes to split and delaminate. $30 too much for a pocket hole jig? http://www.homedepot.com/p/General-Tools-EZ-Pro-Deluxe-Pocket-Hole-Jig-Kit-850/202545169 Link to comment
russ722
Main reason to change is more cabinet space. Currently I only have 9" between the 2x2 for storage space and to put a a to container down there. Not saying the hole jig is too much just wouldn't get much use out of it after . Link to comment
marioensf
3/4" plywood, nice oak at HD $50, water resistant or waterproof wood glue plus the pocket hole jig from HD. When gluing the joints, use clamps. You can finish the plywood edges with matching iron-on wood veneer available also at HD. You do it right, stand will be solid. Link to comment
