DaveFason Posted February 1, 2017 It has been a wild ride with many different AIO tanks, no filter tanks, etc. I have had a Red Sea 170 in my spare room sitting there for eight months and finally decided it was time. I am extremely excited to be back with an actual sump, normal skimmers and just easy reef keeping. I will be updating this tank weekly to show results. NanoBox Duo NYOS 120 IM Nuvo Pump Nero 5 X2 Tune 6020 ( In Sump ) Super simple and back to the basics. I pick up corals that I enjoy and really looking forward to this tank maturing. Enjoy in 4K. Photos/light graphs to come but for now here is a video. Enjoy! -Dave 13 Quote Share this post Link to post

burtbollinger Posted February 1, 2017 I'm new with sumps....why the Tunze in sump? 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
DaveFason Posted February 1, 2017 Der! Now I know the trendy stuff. Sub'd = Subscribed lol Only a couple in the video. The tank has a ton of favia's right now. I few that are flat out mind boggling! Someone likes Acans! I put this in the same chamber as the skimmer. This allows for it to stir up anything down there and make the skimmer collect for junk. I also move it around once a month. You will be amazed how well it works. I'm new with sumps....why the Tunze in sump? 3 Quote Share this post Link to post
reefist Posted February 1, 2017 Looks great Dave! I feel you on the AIO thing. It's really nice to have a sump. I'm picking up some live Pukani from Tampa Bay Saltwater at the airport tomorrow morning for my Reefer Nano. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post

Water Dog Posted February 2, 2017 When you do get a FTS up, be sure to include that beautiful NB Wide Quad fixture in the shot too! 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
DaveFason Posted February 2, 2017 Awesome, really cant wait to see it. You will love the tank. Looks great Dave! I feel you on the AIO thing. It's really nice to have a sump. I'm picking up some live Pukani from Tampa Bay Saltwater at the airport tomorrow morning for my Reefer Nano. Thanks and enjoy yours. I really have to give it to Red Sea on the setup for plumbing. While I feel 100% with plumbing most people are not. However they are so easy it is almost comical! Nice Dave!I have the same tank and skimmer. Looking forward to following this thread.David The video have the FTS. I am actually being a punk and using an old Quad housing and not a wide. I recently had a few orders coming in so I needed to use what I had. When you do get a FTS up, be sure to include that beautiful NB Wide Quad fixture in the shot too! 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

DaveFason Posted February 5, 2017 I had fun last night shooting stills and video. I am really enjoying this tank more and more each day. The NYOS skimmer is really starting to pull out nasty skimmate. Joey from Joe Knows Reef sent a small care package of a couple corals.
