I think this would be a great spot for a pom pom or porcelain.  But I'm biased lol.

I just have not had any luck with crabs other than hermits.  In the beginning I had a Porcelain crab and a Pom Pom crab die. :(

I haven't tried since.

:( Did they die shortly after you got them?  Could've been stress from transport or something.  Sometimes they just die for no apparent reason.  I'd give them another try someday if I were you. ;)

Its possible.... my lfs never has crabs so they were all shipped.  I was so sad because I love Pom Pom crabs.

Well, I hope your next try is much more successful!

well, this was an awesome thread.

sad the Creep took leave. perhaps there was an incident between him, the aiptasia and the powerhead. seems that's about the time he disappeared. seems too coincidental to be coincidental.

bet you the Xenia called a hit.  :ninja:

Without The Creep I cannot justify this set up any longer.   I tried to renew my interest in this tank but it was set up as a pest tank and the star died. :(

The two hermits and assorted snails were moved to my 75 gallon tank.

I busted up Aiptasia Island to liberate the peanut worm that lived with The Creep.  He popped right out and is now living in the 75 gallon along with his bristleworm friends.  :)

Aiptasia were on the rebound all over the macros  so most of everything else was jettisoned.

Thanks to everyone who enjoyed The Creep's artwork and hopefully this thread will put a much demonized pest in a new light.

Ahh WV, I had not been keeping up and am now sad to hear that the Creep is no more. Bummer!  You did a great job showing a so called villain in a new light.

Thank you. :)  I tried to keep it going after he went missing but it just wasn't the same. Maybe now people will at least think twice before tossing them out.

I just found one of these in my rock and am oddly excited, I even have a cycled 2 gallon tank to put him in just like this!
