seabass
Yesterday I was at the Orlando airport. They were doing maintenance on their 3000 gallon aquarium in the food court. I had the opportunity to speak with the guy on top a little bit. You can see the woman scrubbing the reef insert. He said they do maintenance every Monday (it takes about 2 hours). There is a 1000 gallon sump in the level below the aquarium, and they drain 400 gallons prior to diving. Link to comment

squamptonbc
Vancouver, BC has a nice aquarium in their international terminal, downside is it's only accessible if flying out of Canada, excluding the US since US flights depart from a different section. Neat you got to talk a bit with the maintenance folks, you had good timing with planning your flight. Link to comment
seabass
They'd need 100 units to make it wet... so no. Link to comment

seabass
So I had a Tanked episode (from 12/9) recorded on TiVo. This week they had Bottled Ocean, Inc. do the show for them, and I noticed one of the tanks that they maintain is in the Orlando airport. That's senior aquatic specialist, Cortney Johnson, in the tank above. Link to comment
Acielot
My favorite part of OIA. Usually its dark though because of the flight times I take. Link to comment
WRX
Is the singing cashier still at OIA? Link to comment
seabass
Near the aquarium was a bronze sculpture called The Traveler: At first glance it looks like a real guy sleeping in a display box. Link to comment
