bobi1x1
I inserted LDD driver into slot upside down. 12V+ ended connected to Vout- and ground to Vout+. I turned it on for few seconds and not only that there was no light, desk power supply showed around 5V instead of 12V it was set to. I flipped drivers and light started working. Is it working properly? Could it be that it just work and not regulate current and possibly damage diodes? Is it possible to test somehow? Link to comment
O2Surplus
If the LDD is functional and you want to be assured that it's working OK, there's only one way to know for sure. You'll have to test the current output using a VOM. Link to comment
Horerczy
If you ran power backwards through the LDD it's safe to assume there is some damage to the LDD itself. I ran current backwards through five LDD once. They all lit but when I ran them in the correct orientation only two worked and if the the that didn't one got really hot and another started smoking. bobi1x1
I will take drivers to friend and he will inspect them but I believe that they are destroyed. Link to comment
