Reef Octopus 150 (I think) No micro bubbles problem

I have a problem where I can barely get a small steady stream of large bubble to be produced. I checked to see if there was blockage in the air line or venturi or anywhere else for that matter and I could not find anything. Any ideas? Thanks.

This may seem like a stupid problem, but in this running on your tank or are you testing it in tap water?

Yup tap water. I had instant gratification and a hand to forehead moment when I threw in some apple cider vinegar in the wash sink while cleaning it. Instant micro bubble storm.

Lmao. I've done the same thing before. Skimmers just don't produce microbubbles in tap .

 

Also my brain farted hard yesterday morning. I thought I typed "This may seem to be a stupid question but is this....." Just re-read what I typed and boy, it was gibberish.
