Jonzie777
So my 40 gallon breeder has been up and running for about a year now, my older brother gave me his old 90 gallon bow front, how can i upgrade to the larger tank without losing all my corals and fish ? Link to comment
ABC
Are you going to set the 90 up where the forty is or in another location. Does the 40 have sand if so are you going to reuse it. I think it would be easier to cycle the 90 and then add everything you want from the 40 to it. You don't have to do it that way though you can take out all the creatures and rock put them in totes or buckets with air stones or power heads. Maybe use a drop of prime if your worried. I would remove sand last and rinse it before I put it in the new tank or get new. Then move the forty and put the 90 in its place match the water peramiters and put stuff in the 90. As long as you don't kill any of the BB and wait to add any new livestock you should be fine but I would check water for a miny cycle for a few weeks anyways. Link to comment
